Stella Loves Wilco

Stella has always loved music. I think all babies do. Whether it be from her father's genetic code, or from his influence, or both, our little girl really digs it to the point where she is happier when music is played. She sings along, dances, plays air drums and points out certain instruments as she hears it. In the car, after a song is played, she exclaims "Good one!" and claps if she enjoyed the song.

Her current most favoritest band is Wilco - shocker as we are both huge fans. Early in life, her dad had her on a path to be the youngest Nine Inch Nails fan. We quickly realized that we didn't need a toddler listening to NIN (for oh so many reasons). Stella and Scott started watching the Sky Blue Sky DVD with Stella and now she's hooked. She prefers it at times to "Baby" (as in Einstein).

Other bands she enjoys so far:

1. Vampire Weekend
2. Radiohead (specifically "House of Cards" which she's labeled the Elephant Song)
3. Death Cab for Cutie

Here are snippets of how she is when she watches her beloved Wilco DVD. Was a bit difficult getting her to perform on camera but you'll get the idea. She's been doing this for months and it's just the cutest thing. Enjoy.

Stella has four best friends: Markus, Luis, Deville and Oscar. All males. And yes, she has made each one cry.
