Fell in Love with the Drummer

Heavy Metal Drummer
I sincerely miss those heavy metal bands
I used to go see on the landing in the summer
She fell in love with the drummer
She fell in love with the drummer
She fell in love

Shiny, shiny pants and bleach-blond hair
A double kick drum by the river in the summer
She fell in love with the drummer
Another and another
She fell in love

I miss the innocence I've known
Playing KISS covers, beautiful and stoned

Unlock my body and move myself to dance
Moving warm liquid, flowing blowing glass
Classical music blasting masks the ringing in my ears

I sincerely miss those heavy metal bands
I used to go see on the landing in the summer
She fell in love with the drummer
She fell in love with another
She fell in love

I miss the innocence I've known
Playing KISS covers, beautiful and stoned
Playing KISS covers, beautiful and stoned
Playing KISS covers, beautiful and stoned

Playing Kiss covers beautiful and stoned

Dylan Update: Bumper Walker

At close to 11 months, Dylan's been mobile for awhile. He excels in crawling on all fours and army crawling. He's also become quite proficient at using furniture (chairs, side tables, Stella's stuff) to walk. He'll literally pushes it across the room until he bumps into something, and then moves on to the next item to push across the floor.

He's been using the walker in the video downstairs in our playroom where it's carpeted. Today, I looked up, saw the mess of our great room, and decided he was ready to graduate to hardwood floors. He did great.

He's able to stand by himself for a few seconds at a time. He's one handed when cruising from one thing to the next. I'm in trouble. Once this kamikaze, fearless boy starts walking, I fear I will be constantly diving to put my own body between my son and the ground.

Stella Sings in Korean

well sort of...although I can get by with my Korean skillz, I am by no means perfectly versed. I think in English, therefore I speak English with my kids. I may pepper in a few words here and there but unfortunately, that and their limited dialog with my parents (on the phone or visits) are the full extent of their Korean language exposure.

Anyway, Stella's halmoney (grandma) and halahbugee (grandpa) have been trying to teach her some Korean songs. Stella, true to 3 going on 4, have been blatantly ignoring them. Seemingly though, she's been picking up on the sly as proven in the video. One day, the stars aligned, Stella was in a good mood, and knowing the camera was on her, began to sing.

It's not really correct but it's close. Considering that she's been pretending to ignore my parents, I think this is major progress.

She sings the beginning of two songs. First is called "nabeeya" (aka butterfly), and second is "san tokey" (aka rabbit).

And yes, that is a pen she's using to draw on her face. It did come off.
